What to do now

  1. Check whether your business runs Adobe ColdFusion and identify your exact version (especially if it is 2025.9, 2023.20, or older).
  2. If ColdFusion is reachable from the internet (or from less-trusted networks), prioritize an update now; otherwise include it in your next urgent maintenance window.
  3. Upgrade ColdFusion using the fix guidance in Adobe APSB26-68 (Adobe’s security advisory for CVE-2026-48282), moving to the fixed build(s) listed there.
  4. After updating, verify the ColdFusion service is running the new version and review application/server logs for unusual file access or errors around the time of changes.
