CVE-2026-9198

Unauthenticated Remote Code Execution via Auto-Login Bypass and Code Validation

Published: Jul 17, 2026Updated: Aug 17, 2026 Sources: CVE List NVDCWE-94

Description

IBM Langflow OSS 1.0.0 through 1.10.0 allows unauthenticated attackers to chain /api/v1/auto_login (mints SUPERUSER tokens to any network caller) with /api/v1/validate/code (executes user code via exec()) to achieve full RCE on default Langflow deployments

AI Act now

CVE-2026-9198 is a critical, no-login remote code execution flaw in IBM Langflow OSS that is actively being exploited on default, publicly reachable setups—if your Langflow is reachable from the internet, you should treat this as urgent and upgrade.

Executive summary

CVE-2026-9198 enables unauthenticated remote code execution in IBM Langflow OSS by abusing an auto-login bypass to mint SUPERUSER access, then using weak code validation to execute attacker-supplied code on default network-reachable deployments.

What to do now

  1. Check whether your IBM Langflow OSS deployment is reachable from the network without authentication (default deployments are considered risky if publicly accessible).
  2. Check your current Langflow OSS version; confirm whether it is in 1.0.0 through 1.10.0.
  3. Upgrade Langflow OSS to 1.10.1 (fixed) as soon as possible.
  4. If you cannot upgrade immediately, block all internet access to the Langflow instance (allow only required internal IPs/VPN) until mitigations can be applied.
pip install --upgrade langflow==1.10.1
