Steps
Written by AI from the record- Check whether your organization runs SAP Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence (MII), specifically the Configuration Service component.
- Review who currently holds MII administrator privileges and restrict that list to only people who truly need it, since this flaw requires that level of access to exploit.
- Contact SAP or your SAP support partner to ask for a security patch or official mitigation for this specific issue, as no fixed version is published yet.
- Until a fix is released, monitor administrative account creation and privilege-provisioning activity on the underlying application server for anything unexpected.
- Apply the official SAP patch as soon as it becomes available.

What it is
From the CVE record
SAP Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence does not sufficiently enforce authorization boundaries within certain administrative functionality. An attacker with MII administrator privileges could submit a specially crafted request to provision an account with elevated privileges on the underlying Java application server. Successful exploitation could allow the attacker to gain administrative control over the underlying system, extending the impact beyond the vulnerable application. This results in a high impact on confidentiality, integrity and availability.
In plain language
Written by AI from the recordA flaw in SAP's manufacturing shop-floor software lets someone who already has admin-level access inside the system gain full control over the underlying server, and there is currently no fix available, so manufacturers using this software should treat it as a serious risk.
Missing authorization check (CWE-862) in SAP Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence's Configuration Service lets a user with existing MII administrator privileges submit a crafted provisioning request to create an elevated account on the underlying Java application server, escalating from application-level admin to full host compromise.
