Description

AVTECH SECURITY Corporation DGM1104 FullImg-1015-1004-1006-1003 was discovered to contain an authenticated command injection vulnerability in the SMB server function. This vulnerability allows attackers to execute arbitrary commands via a crafted input.

In plain language

AI Worth attention

This is a flaw in certain AVTECH devices (like DGM1104 and several AVM models) that can let someone run commands on your network if they can reach the device’s SMB service with valid access; a typical small business should address it if those devices are exposed or used over the network.

Executive summary

AVTECH DGM1104 and related AVM models contain an authenticated command injection in the SMB server function, where crafted SMB inputs can trigger execution of arbitrary commands on the device; exploitation requires low-privilege authentication and network reachability to the SMB service.

What to do now

  1. Check whether you use AVTECH DGM1104 or any of these models: avm1203, avm2200, avm2200t, avm2220, avm2220se, avm2220t, avm301, avm302a.
  2. On each device, confirm whether the SMB server function is enabled and reachable from other computers/networks.
  3. If SMB is reachable, restrict access using firewall rules so only the specific management/workstation IPs can reach SMB (block it for everyone else).
  4. Ask your vendor/AVTECH support for the exact firmware fix for CVE-2025-57201 for your model, or apply the vendor-provided remediation/firmware update when available.
  5. After changes, monitor authentication logs for unusual SMB logins and investigate any suspicious command or error activity around the SMB service.
