  2. If you’re on a listed vulnerable FortiProxy version, upgrade FortiProxy to 2.0.14 or 7.0.15 or 7.2.9 or 7.4.3 (or a newer fixed version).
  3. If you’re on a listed vulnerable FortiOS version, upgrade FortiOS to 6.0.18 (or a newer fixed version for your branch).
  4. If you cannot upgrade right away, apply Fortinet’s compensating guidance (including disabling the sslvpnd service as recommended by Fortinet) and follow Fortinet’s mitigation instructions while you schedule the upgrade.
  5. After upgrading/mitigations, review logs for signs of suspicious remote requests and confirm the device is no longer running the vulnerable version.
