PatchChromeFirefoxOur summary
Google and Mozilla both pushed out major browser updates this week, collectively closing more than 100 security holes. Chrome's new build, versions 154.0.8037.92/.93 for Windows and macOS and 154.0.8037.92 for Linux, fixes 32 issues, among them a critical buffer overflow in ANGLE identified as CVE-2026-102331, along with 25 high-severity bugs such as use-after-free and uninitialized resource flaws and five type confusion problems in the V8 engine. Mozilla's Firefox 157 tackles roughly 76 vulnerabilities, including 38 high-severity ones like use-after-free and sandbox escape bugs, with many of the same fixes also backported to Firefox ESR 153.4, 140.17, and 115.42. Neither company reports that any of these flaws have been exploited in real-world attacks, but both urge users to update their browsers promptly given the scale and severity of the fixes.
