Google has released an update for Chrome that resolves 230 vulnerabilities, including the actively exploited zero-day CVE-2026-87491. This flaw in the V8 engine involves an out-of-bounds write that can allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code within the browser sandbox through crafted HTML pages. The fix is available in version 153.0.8010.36 for Windows and Linux, and 153.0.8010.37 for macOS, while users of other Chromium-based browsers are advised to apply updates as soon as they become available. This incident marks the seventh known zero-day vulnerability exploited in the wild in Chrome since the beginning of 2026.
