CVE Tools

What's new — late May & early June

Over the past two weeks we shipped the things you've been asking for: personal API keys, a public place to file bugs and ideas, and a much more lively landing page. Smaller polish along the way.

What's new

  • Personal API keys. Mint cve_live_* keys from your profile and use them with the CLI or any HTTP client — no custom auth glue. Manage them under Profile → API Keys.
  • Public feedback channel. Bug reports, feature ideas, and release notes now live at github.com/cve-tools/issues. Footer "Community" and the in-app Feedback menu both link there.
  • Fresh landing hero. The typewriter on the home page now rotates short, news-style phrases pulled from the last 48 hours of CVE intel — refreshed daily. So the headline reads like the actual threat day, not a static list.

Improvements

  • Vendor search reaches further. The vendor filter on /cves now searches every indexed vendor, not only the top-50 by frequency. Smaller and niche vendors finally show up in autocomplete.

Try it

  • Visit cve.tools and watch the hero rotate.
  • Go to Profile → API Keys to create your first key for the CLI.
  • Skim Discussions → Announcements — that's where the next one of these will land.
