CVE Tools

Now you can shape CVE Tools — feedback in one click

Tell us what's useful, share ideas, flag problems — and get notified when what you asked for ships.

We build CVE Tools for the people who actually use it — vulnerability researchers, bug-bounty hunters, and the small teams defending their own stack. So we've shipped two things that make it easier for you to shape where it goes: one-click feedback on every page, and notifications that reach you when something you care about happens.

Tell us what's working — and what isn't

You'll now see a small feedback control on pages and key blocks across the site — the CVE detail pages, the plain-language explanations, the CVSS calculator, trends, the verification guides, and the blog. It takes one click.

  • 👍 / 👎 — was this page or block actually useful? One tap tells us.
  • 💡 Suggest an idea — something you wish CVE Tools did? Ask for it.
  • 🚩 Report a problem — something wrong, confusing, or broken? Flag it.

It works whether you're signed in or not, and it takes seconds. Ideas and problems open a short note box — say as much or as little as you like.

Notifications that reach you

The second change: CVE Tools can now tell you when something happens, instead of making you check. There's a notification bell in the top bar that updates in real time, plus optional browser push — so you get an alert even when the tab is closed.

  • The plain-language explainer you requested for a CVE is ready to read.
  • Your request to monitor more of your stack was approved.
  • More on the way — including a heads-up when something newly exploitable hits software in your stack.

Push is opt-in and per-device — turn it on from the bell when you want it, off when you don't.

Help us build the tool you actually want

Every strong decision we've made started with someone telling us what they needed. The more you tell us — what's useful, what's missing, what's annoying — the faster CVE Tools becomes the tool you'd want open every day. We read all of it, and we genuinely value it.
